It's time to Play Ball! This month at Reading Time, we are taking a look at some stories featuring real-life people who wanted to enjoy the greatest pastime, baseball! While we’re at it, why not enjoy a nice box of popcorn or cracker jacks? Even better, why don't we make the box it comes in!
With just a little cutting and folding, we can make our very own Play Ball Popcorn Box! (Or, PBPB for short.)
You can print this craft out at home, but if you attend Reading Time, we will have a nice printed and cut one for you all ready!
You can find the template to this craft here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RDBsZv2ROIO6hCN_fRGnRBurSaMU6iQ8/view?usp=sharing
Here is what you will need for supplies:
⚾ Popcorn box template ⚾ Cardstock (this will keep the box sturdy) ⚾ Coloring utensils (crayons, markers, pencils) ⚾ Scissors ⚾ Tape
Print the template on cardstock.
Cut out the template. The solid lines are for cutting.
Color your template to your hearts desire!
Fold along the sides and the bottom. The dotted lines are for folding.
Tape the tabs on the inside of the container to the walls of the container. Tape the remaining side seam shut.
And there you go! Your very own Play Ball Popcorn Box! We love making crafts that have a practical purpose! If you make your own PBPB, let us know by tagging us on Social Media! @ReadingTimeWithTheQueens
Play Ball! will be at Station Square at 200 S Main St, Pocatello. We will start at 12:00pm sharp, so make sure you are there a bit early if you want to finish your craft!
We will be posting a recorded version of Play Ball! later on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook as soon as we are able. Craft Corner will be part of that video, so if you need extra help, Miss Barb and Miss Cali will be happy to guide you!
Thank you for supporting Reading Time every month! We hope you are able to join us for in-person events, but we understand if you can't. That's why we work to ensure that the magic of our programs can be experienced wherever you are!
Don't forget to take advantage of the nice summer weather! Wear your sunscreen, head outside, and play to your heart's content!
