Miss Cali here!
I am so excited to show you this new activity book that we've created! ๐คฉ This book has everything: coloring pages, word find puzzles, a maze, and most importantly for this month's theme: bones! That's right, this book is meant to help you learn all about our Strong Skeletons (with the added bonus of Mr. Aaron and I popping in to share some jokes and facts). ๐๐
This activity book also has a lab activity in the very back that you can do under the guidance of our skeleton expert, Dr. Dani, at this month's Science Time with the Queens!
Let's get into what you'll find in:
๐ฆด The Bones Coloring & Activity Book Reading Time with the Queens Edition ๐ฆด
First up, you'll notice that each of these pages is related to bones you'll find in your body. The bulk of this work was created by associates of Dr. Dani several years ago: Sara Boehret, Katie Cicia, Julia Foster, and Holly Woodman. The facts, models, and activities were created by them and checked by Dr. Dani in advance of us printing this book.
Next, you'll notice that Mr. Aaron and I are popping into a few of the pages! Mr. Aaron wrote all his jokes himself while Mx. Kai illustrated these line art drawings for you to color at will! That includes a total recreation of a "Bone Find" activity, now featuring some of your favorite Reading Time buddies like Miss Barb, Miss Angela, Mr. Zae, and Mr. Buster!
Finally, if you ever need help with the solution to a puzzle, this edition of the activity book has an Answer Key! I know what it's like to be frustrated with a puzzle. If you've done your very best and still can't completely solve a puzzle, it won't make you less strong to get some help from an adult and/or the answer key.
I love activity books. I have a lot of fond memories learning from titles published by Highlights and other educational companies. Working on this book with Mx. Kai, Mr. Aaron, and Dr. Dani made me remember time that I spent as a kid completing activities with my great-grandmother, Gigi. Here is a picture of her and I working on a book together.
(We were having fun, I promise. ๐)
Hopefully this book can provide hours of fun for you and your kiddo either alone or together!
